Maggie is a successful watercolour artist living in
Northamptonshire. She has built a reputation for original, creative work
which is now much sought after.
Maggie has developed a distinct style of painting whilst experimenting
with different media. She delights in using watersprays with paint,
finally dropping ink into paint and puddles of water, with exciting
results.
Having studied botany and zoology years ago many of her paintings use
nature and natural forms as their subject matter - cockles on a stoney
beach, sunsets on beaches on Mull, colourful frogs, watery sheep and misty
cattle.
Recently Maggie has produced large paintings of a variety of birds
including geese, eiderduck, cormorants, gannets, puffins and pelicans.
Many of these paintings and designs can be found as prints, cards and
mugs. |

Maggie's work has been shown in exhibitions in
Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and at the Chandler's Ford Art Group
Annual Exhibition. In 2007 she won the Mixed Media Prize in the latter. In
2008 she won the Dennis Olds Trophy for 'Peoples Choice'. Maggie displays
and sells her work at the annual Alresford Show in September.
